Leaf-cutting ants are a major source of productivity loss in commercial forest plantations, yet their underground nests remain difficult to detect at scale. This study presents a methodology for subsurface ant nest detection based on drone-borne P-band tomographic SAR combined with deep learning. Full-wave electromagnetic simulations were first conducted to characterize the radar response of ant nests with varying sizes and depths. These insights were then validated using field data acquired ove
